ABOUT
GALLERY 120

MISSION & HISTORY.

Established in January 2015, Gallery 120 was created as a community art gallery with a mission to build a strong vibrant Arts community and encourage growth and exposure of professional and emerging artists while educating our community in the Fine Arts. Gallery 120 is a center where partnerships with other art groups serve as an opportunity for community involvement and showcase a variety of artwork.

Gallery 120 exhibits change monthly with professional and student artists.  The gallery also offers an artist reception, held on the first day of each new exhibit from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  We exhibit artwork created by artists who are professional and whose works are exceptional in skill and presentation.  We showcase student artwork crafted by students in our schools, from the elementary level through high school level.  The gallery also showcases works of emerging artists, whether they are hobbyists in drawing or painting or some other fine art medium.

GALLERY COORDINATOR

A letter from the new Curator:

Hello Clover, I am excited to start this new endeavor as Gallery 120's new Curator!

Originally from York County, I've spent 33 years living in various parts of South Carolina. Last year, I returned to my hometown of York, and it feels wonderful to be back.  I recently retired in March 2022 after 15 fulfilling years as the Executive Director of the Belton Center for the Arts.  It was an incredible experience, and I'm proud of the success we achieved there.

I am eager to work with all of the artists and community members here.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 803-222-9493.  Together, we can keep the arts alive in Clover!

Sincerely,

Betsy Chapman
