Artist Biography

Todd Baxter has loved to draw the world around him as far back as he can remember, one of those enviable people who always knew what they wanted to be when they grew up. His artist's eye first guided Todd's successful career as a graphic designer begun after he graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburg in 1975. For four decades, he created images that engaged audiences in the world of advertising. Then in June 2010, with the responsibilities of raising a family in the rearview mirror, he decided to adjust course to focus on his passion for fine art.

" I am extremely grateful to be able to purse my passion, to have the opportunity to do what I love doing every day."

Todd is a member of the Tega Cay Art League, the Catawba River Art Guild, the Southern Arts Society Inc, and the Colored Pencil Society of America. Todd also teaches weekly drawing and painting classes as well as workshops.

Artist Biography

S.P. Venky is an Indian artist from the city of Chennai in South India. Having spent his childhood surrounded by nature trails, parks, and birds, he has tremendous love for the outdoors. Naturally he was drawn towards expressing his thoughts through art at a young age.

Venky is a self-taught artist who has spent a lot of time studying and experimenting with different art mediums and techniques. Owing to that, he has a home studio filled with his work and a regular stream of architect and interior design clients for his oil paintings on canvas.

Venky has exhibited his oil painting and watercolor work in art galleries across his home country. He is now retired from his job and focuses on illustrations, comics, watercolor works, acrylic paintings, and calligraphy while also working on commercial projects from time to time.

Ray Emser

Artist Biography

Ray enjoyed art as a child and visited art galleries with his parents. A native North Carolinian, Ray created his first painting almost by accident. Wanting to hide a large stairwell electrical panel, he painted a tall sailboat on a piece of hardboard using old, leftover house paint. His passion for his newfound hobby led him quickly to canvas and acrylic to paint the scenes he loves.

Having no formal training, Ray has honed his skills through trail and error. He prefers to create rather than produce a technically perfect painting. He hopes to refine his newfound talent as he continues to create and enjoy the process.

Most of Ray's paintings present memories from trips to beaches and harbors where he spent time with family and friends. Married with five children, grandchildren, and a large circle of friends, Ray balances his landscaping career with frequent escapes into paintings of beaches, palm trees and boats skimming waves.
